- Funchal, Portugal
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Optimize database design for maximum speed and scalability
- Develop and implement security measures to protect sensitive data
- Collaborate with development team to create efficient database structures for new applications
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities This is a contract position with a salary of 1100$ per month. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. This job is located in Funchal, Portugal. Please note that this is not an on-site position and does not include accommodation. We welcome applicants of all genders for this position.
