Junior Finance Associate in Portugal, Remote
Location:

In this role, your core purpose is to support Skilled Nursing Facility Accounts Receivable operations through financial reporting, data analysis, and month-end audits. By completing monthly AR reports, analyzing balances, and meeting strict financial deadlines, you ensure operations run smoothly and securely. - Month-End & Financial Reporting – Preparing and reviewing monthly AR reports for management and stakeholders within strict deadlines.
- AR & Trend Analysis – Analyzing aging balances, payments, and collections, while identifying and explaining unusual trends.
- Data Reconciliation – Investigating discrepancies and partnering with Accounting to align operational AR data with financial records.
- Audit & Cost Reporting Support – Preparing data for cost reports and assisting with internal/external audits and auditor inquiries.
- Process Improvement – Enhancing reporting templates and workflows to improve AR accuracy and efficiency. What You Bring:
- Educational Foundation: A background, degree, or current coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excel & Tech Proficiency: Strong MS Excel skills, with the ability to comfortably manage large datasets and spreadsheets.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: High accuracy and a sharp eye for detail when analyzing data and investigating discrepancies.
- Time Management & Independence: Strong organizational skills to prioritize workloads and meet strict deadlines autonomously.
- Communication
Skills:
Clear verbal and written communication to effectively collaborate with accounting teams, leadership, and auditors.
- Industry Knowledge (Bonus): Basic understanding of healthcare AR. Experience with Skilled Nursing Facilities or Long-Term Care is a strong plus. Your accuracy and expertise help keep the business running smoothly.
