Komodo Consulting is a technology and strategy firm specializing in Digital Transformation. Operating in Portugal and Poland, we provide IT Consulting & Nearshore services. We support both public and private sector organizations through two main areas:
- Consulting — with a focus on strategy, investment analysis, and digital process improvement;
- IT Team Augmentation — helping clients scale and strengthen their tech teams. The Project We are seeking a Senior Java Developer (with Shopify) to work on a Tech project. You will have the following
responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot;
- Build, run, and troubleshoot Shopify integrations in a production environment;
- Design and maintain GraphQL APIs to support complex, production-level systems;
- Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies;
- Leverage AWS services, including DynamoDB and secrets management solutions, to build robust cloud-based solutions;
- Implement observability practices using OpenTelemetry, including monitoring and distributed tracing. You need to have the following skills/experience:
- Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer, with solid knowledge of backend development and production-level systems;
- Proven hands-on experience running, maintaining, and troubleshooting Shopify integrations in a production environment;
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, including developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs;
- Solid hands-on experience with GraphQL, including designing, developing, and maintaining GraphQL APIs;
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, ideally including DynamoDB and secrets management solutions;
- Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies, in the context of asynchronous and event-driven architectures;
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability practices, including monitoring and tracing of distributed applications;
- Fluency in English;
- Mandatory to be located in Portugal. Location Full Remote (Mandatory
