Senior Derivatives Trader

We are seeking an experienced Senior Derivatives Trader to lead the design and execution of market‑neutral strategies across crypto markets alongside the Head of Trading.

Role Overview

As a Senior Derivatives Trader, you will own the entire trading lifecycle, from research and modelling to execution, monitoring, and risk management. You will define new trading strategies, ensure operational excellence, and optimize performance across existing trading algorithms. You will report directly to the Head of Trading.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Execution

- Lead and execute portfolio management activities for YUSD and jUSD, managing spot crypto collateral, derivatives‑based hedging strategies, and yield deployments across DeFi money markets.

- Design, implement, and optimize latency‑sensitive, market‑neutral trading strategies for DeFi, stablecoins, and cross‑chain assets.

- Develop and maintain automated trading systems that interact with smart contracts, liquidity pools, and DEXs.

- Continuously analyze on‑chain and off‑chain data to identify arbitrage, yield, and market‑making opportunities.

- Monitor real‑time risk and adjust positions to sustain low risk exposure.

- Leverage and enhance state‑of‑the‑art trading infrastructure, including execution engines, order routing, and monitoring systems.

Research & Innovation

- Stay ahead of emerging trends in DeFi, CeFi, and blockchain markets, identifying novel strategies or market inefficiencies.

- Develop proprietary models for predictive analytics, portfolio optimization, and risk assessment.

Required Experience & Skills

- 6+ years of experience in high‑frequency, prop trading, or market‑making strategies, with end‑to‑end ownership.

- Strong background in latency‑sensitive, algorithmic, or quantitative trading.

- Advanced programming skills (Python, Rust, C++, Solidity, or similar) for high‑performance trading systems.

- Deep expertise in quantitative research, statistical modelling, and data‑driven decision making.

- Professional experience in spot and perpetual crypto markets, leveraging exchange APIs for order execution, position management, and risk controls on at least two of the following platforms: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Deribit.

- Proven ability to design and operate profitable trading strategies in volatile and complex markets.
