Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS Specialist) - Remote (Portugal)

Location: Fully Remote (Must be based in Portugal)

Type: Full-time (Contracted via Deel), 32 hours / 40 hours

The Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is a specialist in the AWS ecosystem. You will be responsible for architecting and managing high-performance environments, with a heavy focus on Amazon ECS and Infrastructure as Code. We build automated systems that prevent problems before they happen.

Responsibilities

- Container Orchestration: Design and manage production clusters using Amazon ECS (Fargate/EC2).
- Infrastructure as Code: Build and maintain scalable AWS environments primarily using Terraform.
- CI/CD Automation: Create and optimize deployment pipelines for seamless, zero-downtime releases.
- Optimization: Proactively perform rightsizing and infrastructure audits to ensure cost-efficiency and performance.
- Security: Implement and maintain enterprise-grade security protocols across all AWS environments.

Qualifications

- AWS Certifications: You should hold at least the AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA). Our team operates at a Professional level; if you do not have it yet, you should be motivated to achieve your SA Pro or DevOps Pro certification soon.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with AWS, specifically ECS, VPC networking, and IAM.
- Automation Mastery: Strong proficiency with Terraform and CI/CD workflows.
- Location and Legal: You must be currently based in Portugal and have a valid VISA or legal right to work there.
- Communication: Clear and professional English communication skills.
