Piping Inspector

We are IPLAN GESTIÓN INTEGRAL, a company specialized in engineering services mainly in the electrical sector, civil works, renewable energies, environmental projects and legalizations.

We are part of VULCAIN ENGINEERING, an international French engineering group with a multisectoral approach, working across key areas of infrastructure and energy.

We are currently looking for a PIPING INSPECTOR (SITE) to join our team located in Sines (Portugal).

📒 What will your day-to-day look like?

- Perform QA/QC activities for the assigned project and/or construction contract, ensuring compliance with all technical and contractual requirements.

- Verify conformity during construction, erection and installation works, ensuring alignment with execution plans, delivery schedules and manufacturing quality.

- Manage and update QA/QC documentation and MS deliverables in the corresponding IT tools (EasyPlant, GAIA, etc.).

- Analyze information provided by construction contractors and monitor KPI trends.

- Issue QA/QC project deliverables, including Pre-Inspection Meeting reports, Pre-JSM, PPs, QCPs, CSHs and other applicable documentation.

- Identify and report QA/QC deviations or quality issues, coordinating corrective actions and following up until full resolution.

- Participate in the technical evaluation of offers related to the construction Scope of Work.

- Contribute to the preparation of performance evaluations for construction contractors and inspection agencies.

- Provide clear, precise and accurate reporting regarding compliance with applicable codes, standards and project specifications.

- Handle RFIs, including testing and inspections on site.

- Perform and support loop checks testing for electrical and instrumentation systems.

💡 What are we looking for?

- Education: Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Engineering degree.

- Minimum 5 years of on-site experience in electrical and instrumentation QA/QC roles.

- Proficiency with Office software tools.

- Languages: Spanish, English (C1) and Portuguese.

- Ability to generate high-quality technical reports demonstrating compliance with applicable construction codes and project requirements.

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

- Experience handling inspections, testing procedures, RFIs and loop checks is essential.
