Field Service Technician role at GRUNDFOS

Field Service Technician is responsible for executing repair and maintenance work as agreed with customers. They ensure customer satisfaction in the assigned market, act as a technical account manager, and work independently or with ASP to address customer requests efficiently and professionally.

What is the job about?

- Makes a risk assessment for every task;

- Reports matters related to Safety, Health and Environment;

- Disassembles, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces parts, reassembles pumps, pump systems and accessories in field service;

- Advises the customer on shortcomings in the total system and offers solutions;

- Assists manager by identifying and providing solutions for service and warranty matters; may require technical support;

- Prepares clear and complete service reports and ensures submission on time (warranty claims, working hours FAS, etc.);

- Registers identified product quality issues in systems;

- Assists in project execution – installation support, commissioning, etc.;

- Executes agreed maintenance services and SLA for service agreements;

- Provides feedback to stakeholders (sales and service sales PUs, operations, etc. including identified leads);

- Prepares inputs for quoting out-of-warranty repairs;

- Collects installed base information;

- Continues learning and development to build hands‑on service capability;

- Masters the use of service tools and equipment;

- Reports matters related to Safety, Health and Environment.

What do you need to apply?

- Technical education knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering;

- Work experience in the industry or comparable environment;

- Experience with pump technology;

- SAP experience preferred;

- Ability to participate in work with processes or projects within the service environment;

- Experience working with people;

- Relating and networking skills;

- Applying expertise and technology;

- Delivering results and meeting customer expectations;

- Fluent English.
