Machine Learning Engineer - Lisboa/Porto
Who We're Looking For:
The
Machine Learning / AI Engineer
is responsible for developing end-to-end data and AI solutions, from data collection and model training to deployment and production support. The role combines technical development, collaboration with data science and engineering teams, and direct engagement with stakeholders to deliver scalable, data-driven applications.
Professional Experience & Main Tasks
Develop end-to-end ML and AI solutions, including data collection, labeling, model training, testing, and evaluation
Design and build in-house applications in collaboration with data scientists and developers
Work closely with stakeholders throughout the application lifecycle to understand needs and deliver appropriate solutions
Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and scalable architectures
Implement best practices to deploy, monitor, and maintain production-grade models and software
Lead workshops to identify use cases and design innovative data-driven solutions
Perform data analysis using ETL tools, SQL, and Python
Promote a data-driven culture and track project progress using collaboration tools
Skills & Experience
Strong ability to explain model outputs and key influencing factors
Solid background in statistics, machine learning, and quantitative analysis
Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, Keras) and deep learning tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Knowledge of NLP techniques
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or Go
Strong database knowledge (SQL and NoSQL)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (e.g., Jenkins, Git)
Fluent English communication skills
