About Prime School Prime School is a leading international school in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, with three campuses (Lisbon, Estoril, and Sintra) serving students aged 3 to 18. Accredited by the Portuguese Ministry of Education and Cambridge International, we offer IGCSE and A-Level curricula in English, bilingual and technical pathways, in a multicultural, innovative environment with small class sizes.Position: SEN Teacher (Special Educational Needs) We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic full-time SEN teacher to join our primary support team. This role involves: Direct support for two primary students : Working with children aged 7-10 years with diverse special educational needs In-class support : Collaborative intervention alongside class teachers to promote inclusion Differentiated strategies : Developing and implementing tailored learning approaches and accommodations Progress monitoring : Regular assessment and adaptation of support strategies Communication with families and specialists : Coordination with parents, school psychologists, therapists, and the wider educational team Schedule and Conditions Monday to Friday, 08:45 to 16:45 Up to 25 contact hours per week (individual support, small group sessions, and in-class collaboration), plus up to 10 hours per week for assessment, reporting, meetings, and administrative tasks Daily meal provided by the school Requirements Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or related field Specialization/Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (preferred) Proven experience supporting students with SEN in a school setting Excellent command of English; knowledge of Portugueseis an advantage Knowledge of differentiated teaching methodologies, pedagogical assessment, and inclusive digital tools Collaborative working ability, empathy, creativity, and resilience We Value Experience with international curricula (Cambridge, IB) Training in specific methodologies (ABA, TEACCH, multisensory approaches, etc.) Knowledge of assistive learning technologies Performance-Based Benefits At Prime School, we value and reward excellence.
