SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of Board area Customer Services & Delivery with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Quality Specialist (f/m/d) in the area of the Technology & Engineering unit of the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team in the Customer Services & Delivery board area.
In this role, you will join the central Sovereign Cloud Quality team: We test and operate the internal SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by the regional Operations teams. You will help deliver SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) applications to SAP Sovereign Cloud customers aiming at functional completeness, streamlined deployments, and smooth operation. You will be working closely with technical product managers, engineers, our security team, as well as SAP product team members and Operations teams. You will have the opportunity to solve the intricate Sovereign Cloud challenges of scale and security while using your skills in SuccessFactors environment setup, functional expertise, and testing background (manual/automated).
You will participate in the overall release lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and executing test cases for releases as well as patches in each Cloud landscape. Deployment tests can be inclusive of application updates, DB revision changes, operating system upgrades, security improvements, hardware upgrades or migrations. You will help identify defects, track defect remediation, and include software or solution updates required to resolve issues in future deployments.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a similar field
- Professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
- Very good product knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) and the related product areas like Analytics, Employee Central, Learning, Onboarding, Opportunity Marketplace Payroll, Recruiting, Rewarding, Talent, Time, Whole Self Model
- Experience with SuccessFactors (HCM) system environment setup incl. dependency management and user administration
- Familiarity with the HCM Mobile app as well as SuccessFactors microservices e.g. Card Services or Clock-In / Clock-Out
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) experience is a big plus
- Strong background in executing test cases – manual as well as automated, incl. Mobile
- Proven track record in developing test scripts for infrastructure technology
- Experience in detecting, logging, and reporting bugs & configuration changes
- Mindset to track and troubleshoot defects from a functional & technical perspective
- Familiarity with creating/reviewing test procedures and concepts
- Prior team or work stream lead experience is a plus to streamline QA effort
- Solid knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and design incl. hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code: CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, or ArgoCD), Monitoring and Logging (like Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Grafana)
- Experience with Security processes and tools (e.g. Vault)
- Fundamental SAP HANA database knowledge is a plus
- Excellent methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Fluency in written and spoken English
WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
2+ years of QA experience, including manual as well as test automation
1+ year of experience in cloud operations environment, solution support, and management or development
