We are looking for a Senior Java Technical Lead to join a strategic project, taking a key role in the technical direction, solution design and delivery of complex initiatives.
The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Java expertise with technical leadership skills, the ability to design complex solutions and experience working with international and cross-functional teams.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing technical leadership throughout the design and delivery of complex projects; - Designing and supporting the implementation of Java-based solutions; - Contributing to solution architecture and technical decision-making; - Analysing complex technical requirements and translating them into effective solutions; - Providing technical guidance to development and project teams; - Supporting best practices, problem-solving and continuous improvement; - Collaborating with international and cross-functional teams; - Working within Agile environments, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence; - Ensuring alignment between technical solutions, project objectives and business requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- Senior-level professional with up to 15 years of relevant experience; - Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field; - Strong professional experience with Java; - Proven experience in complex solution design and strategic projects; - Experience providing technical leadership to development/project teams; - Experience with Agile methodologies; - Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is valued; - Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector is a plus; - Knowledge of GDPR; - Fluent English is mandatory; - Portuguese and/or Spanish are valued; - Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; - Ability to work effectively with global and multicultural teams.
This is a fully remote opportunity, but candidates must be currently residing in Portugal.
