Your 'day to day'They are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their IT team and help build secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical initiatives, and promote engineering best practices.Who are they looking for? Minimum 6 years of experience in AWS cloud architecture and development, using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Strong experience in Python backend development, applying best practices (linters, inheritance, frameworks). Experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Puppet). Solid background in Windows and Linux systems administration. Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, EC2, Jenkins, etc. Excellent understanding of REST, GraphQL, and microservices architectures. Deep knowledge of privacy and security standards (AWS Security Best Practices, CIS). Strong grasp of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25, with proven experience implementing remediation strategies. Experience integrating secure development practices into the SDLC (SSDLC). Understanding of cloud connectivity (VPC peering, VPNs, hybrid cloud setups). Ability to stay current with security and technical trends and evolve platforms accordingly. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Experience leading teams and working on platform engineering is a plus. Frontend experience and AWS Solution Architect Associate certification are optional but valued. Soft skillsCollaborative and able to communicate with diverse audiences. Self-driven, solution-oriented, and capable of leading engineering features from requirements to delivery. Promotes and enforces development best practices. Organized, detail-oriented, and values documentation and knowledge sharing. Strong focus on code quality and continuous improvement.
