Security Engineer – IAM / Digital IdentityLocation: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)Salary: €50,000 – €60,000 gross per year (depending on experience)Employment type: PermanentRight to work: Portuguese citizens or EU Blue Card holders only (no sponsorship)We are looking for a Security Engineer with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) to help design, build, and operate modern digital identity solutions. This role is centred on developing and integrating IAM components, SSO solutions, and secure access platforms within complex enterprise environments.You’ll work hands-on across implementation, operations, and support, collaborating closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable identity solutions.What you’ll be doingDesigning, implementing, and integrating IAM and digital identity solutionsBuilding and supporting SSO, authentication, authorization, and access management componentsIntegrating IAM platforms with applications, APIs, and customer environmentsImplementing and managing secure identity workflows and access policiesSupporting and operating IAM solutions in production (2nd & 3rd line support)Managing releases, changes, and upgrades of IAM servicesOperating, monitoring, and maintaining IAM platforms across cloud and on-prem environmentsDeveloping tooling for monitoring, CI/CD, automation, and early issue detectionCollaborating with software engineers and security specialists on IAM-focused projectsParticipating in a rotating on-call schedule (24/7 support model)What we’re looking forExperience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or digital identity engineeringHands-on exposure to SSO, authentication protocols, and access control conceptsSolid Linux skills and understanding of networking and security protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP/S)Experience with cloud platforms, containers, and modern application architecturesFamiliarity with identity standards such as SAML, OAuth2, Open ID Connect, LDAP (strong plus)Experience deploying and operating production systems with a Dev Ops mindsetScripting or programming experience (e.g. Power Shell, Java, Java Script, SQL, or similar)Database knowledge (SQL, Maria DB, etc.) is beneficialStrong communication skills and confidence working with customers and stakeholdersStructured, analytical, and reliable approach to problem solvingWhat’s on offerCompetitive salary depending on experienceStrong benefits packageHybrid working model with flexibilityContinuous learning and development opportunities in IAM and security engineeringSupportive, collaborative engineering culture with flat hierarchies
