Your North Star
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Events Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of a diverse portfolio of events, from large-scale conferences and trade shows to intimate VIP dinners and online webinars. You will be a key player in driving revenue growth and maximizing return on investment (ROI) for all events. A growth mindset and a proactive approach to continuous learning and improvement are key to thriving in this role.

Day in the Life of the Events Marketing Specialist

Strategic Event Planning & Execution :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive event strategies aligned with overall business objectives and marketing goals.
  • Lead the planning and execution of all event logistics, including venue sourcing, registration, hotel accommodations, catering, A/V, entertainment, and onsite staff management.
  • Oversee the development of engaging and impactful event agendas, speaker recruitment, and content creation.
  • Manage all third-party vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely invoicing and payments.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and analyse trends for improvement.

Revenue Generation & Monetization:

  • Identify and develop innovative sponsorship opportunities and packages to maximize revenue streams.
  • Conceptualize and execute creative event formats that attract high-value attendees and sponsors.
  • Explore and implement strategies for monetizing owned events, such as ticket sales, premium experiences, and partnerships etc.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support demand generation during low trade show seasons, including online webinars, virtual events, and targeted marketing campaigns to assist with lead generation on the marketing team.

Trade Show & Conference Management:

  • Plan and execute successful participation in key industry trade shows and conferences, including booth design, staffing, and lead generation activities.
  • Analyze trade show performance data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience with MarTech Stacks which can help manage pipeline and workflows that maximise opportunities.
  • Creative ideation beyond the scope of the four walls of a trade show event stand.

Operational Excellence:

  • Manage all event timelines and deadlines effectively.
  • Ensure seamless onsite event execution, including logistics, technical support, and attendee experience.
  • Conduct post-event analysis and reporting to measure event success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging event technologies.
  • Maintain targets and look for improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, market heads and other departments to align event strategies with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with the extended marketing and content team to develop compelling and engaging event programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and industry partners.

Metrics and Optimization:

  • Analyze performance data using tools like Hootsuite and CRM platforms to track campaign success and ROI.
  • Generate actionable insights to refine strategies and improve customer touchpoints.
  • Test and iterate on new approaches based on feedback and data-driven learnings.
Requirements

Key Skills

Experience and Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience planning and executing successful events, including large-scale conferences, trade shows, and corporate events, ideally in B2B SaaS or hospitality industries.
  • Proven success in executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and driving measurable results
  • Strong understanding of event marketing and demand generation strategies.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation, and lead flow platforms.
  • Experience with online event platforms and virtual event technologies.

Beneficial Skills

  • Familiarity with Multi-language Campaigns and multi-regional event experience.
