Summary

Provide medical, clinical development, and relevant scientific expertise to key influencers and stakeholders, namely through collaboration with CPO, WEC Region and Global team members in the execution of relevant clinical activities in assigned project(s), according to Novartis IMI guidelines, approved budget and strategy, legal and fiscal legislation in force, area defined SOP and superior instructions/guidelines, in order to contribute to CPO products' market preparation pre and post-launch.

About the Role

Major Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the strategy design for assigned products, namely providing medical and clinical development insights, supporting launches and business results.
  • Contribute with medical expertise and scientific advice to all allied departments in the country, to reinforce clinical awareness as well as develop and maintain the support of Medical Experts, influencers, and key external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Access teams in development projects for marketed products, namely by participating in strategic meetings for products under responsibility, reviewing and approving promotional and training material tailored to the needs of the product and providing medical and scientific input to the strategic and tactical plans.
  • Plan and manage the implementation as well as drive timely publication of clinical activities, including local profiling and evidence generation programs when applicable, contributing to the achievement of the Medical Department's objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive product/disease and therapies presentations and training to internal customers, including the field force, assuring the accurate delivery of messages in line with global and local plans in order to ensure the accuracy in product and therapeutic information provided to sales teams.
  • Reinforce professional relationships with country level Medical Experts and other stakeholders in order to implement highly differentiated scientific activities and projects.
  • Contribute with medical, clinical expertise and scientific advice for timely execution of studies conducted in the country and to DRA in interactions with authorities, in order to reinforce clinical awareness as well as develop and maintain the support of Medical Experts, influencers and key external stakeholders.
  • Manage the assigned team, supporting respective development, providing coaching and talent development opportunities.
  • Interact with others in a positive and constructive way, being open to diversity and aligned with corporate guidelines, in order to guarantee Novartis has a working environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment as well as contributing to a positive and inclusive working environment.

Ideal Background

Education & Qualifications

MD, Pharm D or PhD degree in Health Sciences or Degree in Biological/Health Sciences.

Languages

  • Local language.
  • Fluent in English.

Experiences and requirements

Preferential experience in similar function with leadership (Min. 1 year).
