Truck driver vacancy in Funchal Portugal Entry Level Truck Driver - Funchal, Portugal
We are currently hiring an Entry Level Truck Driver to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. This is a contract position with a starting salary of 1200$. As an Entry Level Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating our company truck to transport goods and materials to various locations within the city.
Responsibilities
Safely operate company truck in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
Transport goods and materials to designated locations within the city
Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck to ensure safety and report any issues as needed
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time logs, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays or issues that may arise
Requirements
Valid driver's license for commercial vehicles (Class B or higher preferred)
Clean driving record with no accidents or serious violations in the past 3 years
Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
Physically fit to handle loading/unloading of cargo and able to lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary
Prior experience as a truck driver is not required but considered a plus
