We are looking for a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of software licenses and software assets.
  • Monitor acquired, assigned, installed, and effectively used licenses, identifying discrepancies and optimization opportunities.
  • Support consulting activities by collecting evidence for compliance analyses and Effective License Position (ELP) assessments.
  • Identify idle, underutilized, or unsuitable licenses based on users’ actual usage profiles.
  • Propose license reharvesting, downgrading, reuse, and optimization actions, with a focus on cost efficiency.
  • Monitor changes in licensing models and licensing metrics from major software vendors.
  • Support renewal, procurement, true-up/true-down, and vendor negotiation processes.
  • Support software vendor audits and compliance processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM).
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data and identify inconsistencies.
  • Financial awareness and a strong focus on cost optimization.
  • Ability to interpret contracts and complex licensing rules.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with technical, financial, and business teams.
  • Proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to translate technical analysis into clear information and executive recommendations.
