Websites and our CMS is the core of Squarespace. The mission of the Platform team is to modernize and evolve Squarespace's primary product offering, our Website builder and CMS. You'll help develop systems and frameworks that empower both our teams and external customers to build features on top of the Website builder in a secure and self-service manner. We are looking for a focus on frontend technologies to create scalable, maintainable code and solve challenges in UI performance, component design, and user experience, all while contributing to the overall architecture and reducing technical debt.
This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Team Manager of the Platform Team.

You'll Get To…
  • Design: Build features that enhance the Squarespace interface, focusing on intuitive, customer-centered experiences.
  • Develop: Collaborate with designers and engineers to create solutions that prioritize user needs.
  • Refine: Keep our products at the forefront by integrating the latest frontend technologies, such as React and ES2015+.
  • Maintain: Uphold standards of software engineering, emphasizing automated testing, code reviews, and writing clean, pragmatic code.
  • Contribute: Support and refine team and company-wide standards, ensuring quality across all projects.
Who We're Looking For
  • Have 3+ years of experience developing web-based production systems, with a focus on building user-facing products and platforms using JavaScript (including React and TypeScript).
  • Keep a user-first mindset when developing products.
  • Have experience contributing to modular UI components that help other teams to easily integrate new features.
  • Be eager to continue expanding your technical knowledge and influence across teams as a hands-on individual contributor.
