Senior Frontend Engineer

Start date:January 2026 (Immediate) Workload:100% Location:Lisbon, Portugal Workplace:Mostly remote / Hybrid Your roleAs aSenior Frontend EngineeratThe Trip Boutique, you will play a key role in owning, shaping, and evolving the frontend of our travel SaaS platform. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable frontend features end-to-end while continuously improving UI quality, performance, and developer experience. Our product is built using a modern stack including, Nuxt, and Tailwind, and we are looking for someone withstrong, hands-on experience in Vue or React, who is comfortable taking ownership across planning, implementation, testing, and delivery. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams, act as a frontend point of reference, and support less-senior engineers through reviews, guidance, and mentoring. English is required. You will be expected to: Own frontend features end-to-end, from planning and estimation to delivery and maintenance Translate complex user and business requirements into robust, maintainable frontend solutions Drive consistently high-quality delivery with minimal rework Improve UI/UX quality, performance, and frontend reliability across the product Establish, maintain, and own frontend test coverage Take ownership of sprint execution and frontend delivery commitments Contribute to frontend architecture, patterns, and standards Proactively identify and address technical debt and scalability challenges Lead and participate in code reviews to raise overall code quality Support and mentor less-senior frontend engineers You must have: - 4+ years of professional frontend development experience- 3+ years of hands-on experience with or React- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS- Experience working with Git in collaborative, production environments- Strong understanding of modern frontend best practices and UI/UX principles- Experience delivering and maintaining production-grade frontend applications- English, written and spoken- Your own computer and a suitable work setup- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset Ideally, you also have: Experience owningfrontend testing strategiesand test implementation Experience withgraphics, charts, and data visualizations Experience withTailwind CSS Experience withTypeScript Familiarity withand modern bundlers such asVite or Webpack Experience working closely with designers using tools likeFigma At a more advanced senior level, you may also: Act as the frontend owner for architecture, standards, and best practices Build, maintain, and own a platform-wide UI component library Own frontend performance awareness Proactively lead frontend technical debt and scalability initiatives aligned with product priorities Own and maintain frontend architectural and technical documentation Serve as a trusted technical counterpart in cross-functional decision-making Mentor multiple less-senior engineers and measurably improve team effectiveness What we offer: An opportunity to own and shape the frontend of a growing SaaS product A modern frontend stack with room to influence architecture and standards A small team where your impact, decisions, and leadership are visible and valued A collaborative, creative, and international working environment The chance to be part of an award-winning travel-tech startup scaling its platform Competitive compensation aligned with experience and responsibility About The Trip BoutiqueThe Trip Boutique is an AI-enabled B2B SaaS platform that empowers travel brands to offer hyper-personalized travel advisory.
