Portuguese Senior Tax Accountant

Our client is currently looking for a qualified senior tax accountant who is detail-oriented to liaise with their portfolio of clients. Your main responsibility as the tax accountant will be to suggest legal and law-compliant tax plans that will benefit clients financial health. You'll be in charge of filing tax forms, deciphering tax laws, keeping an eye on market developments, and producing tax reports.You must have a thorough understanding of accounting procedures and strong time management abilities to succeed in this position, as you will be responsible for making sure our companys clients fulfils deadlines. The ideal applicant will be a strong communicator as well as possess great mathematical abilities and pay close attention to detail. Responsibilities: Create the relevant paperwork, reports, payments, and tax returns. Analyse and research complex tax problems to find answers. The tax database for the business to manage and maintain. Identify tax savings and suggest methods to increase profitability. By providing the necessary information to federal, state, and local authorities, you can make sure you adhere to requirements. During audits, provide assistance and direction. Analyse tax laws and recommend measures to reduce their burden. Observe market developments and tax-related changes. Ensure your quarterly and yearly tax reports are accurate. Supervise and lead other team members as assigned. Requirements:BSC/BA in Accounting and Finance, Business, and other related fields Proven work experience as a credible tax accountant or similar role with the Portuguese system Professional level of Portuguese and fluent level of English Good command of Microsoft Office and accounting programs Thorough understanding of bookkeeping and accounting procedures Experience with foreign clients establishing in Portugal Strong analytical abilities, with attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
