About The RoleAbout this opportunityResponsible for managing building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects for new builds, renovations and maintenance works.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Delivering high quality services and ensuring that building surveying deliverables meet customer’s requirementsManaging building surveying commissions, including surveys, dilapidation advice, party wall advice, and construction projects for new builds, renovations and maintenance works – from feasibility through to design, contract administration to handover and post completion reviewsPreparing Technical Due Diligence (TDD) reportsPreparing and managing planned maintenance programmesQuality monitoring of construction projectsPlanning service delivery in conjunction with the Director with overall responsibility for the projectCommunicating with and providing good sound professional advice to both clients and other project team membersEnsuring that all quantitative and financial information has been independently checked before issue, including maintaining evidence of independent checksRemaining in the remit of your role and when additional responsibilities need to be carried out, conduct this in a fully informed manner with the approval of your line managerAs a Gleeds team member, you will have access to:Opportunities to develop and grow your careerEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFlexible working arrangementsAbout YouWho we’re looking for:Experience, Knowledge and Key SkillsExperience in building surveying commissions, preparation of TDD reports and project monitoringSound knowledge of construction methods and materialsClear understanding of legislation impacting on building contractsGood organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changesAbility to absorb complex information and assess requirements readilyProficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to work as part of a teamPortuguese - C1-C2, English - C1-C2QualificationsDegree in Building Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or similarAbout UsAbout usA world of opportunityGleeds is a place to be part of something bigger.
