We're looking for a Networking Engineer to join our team in Lisbon The ideal candidate will maintain and improve our network infrastructure while helping design its next-generation architecture. You will optimize performance, enhance security, and integrate network best practices into Kubernetes-based environments. Strong skills in Linux, Windows, and IP networking are essential. We seek professionals who enjoy a mix of operations, troubleshooting, and network/Kubernetes re-architecture in a global setting. Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and optimize complex global networks supporting 90+ countries. Configure and support VPNs (IPSEC, SSL) and manage more than 200 IPSEC tunnels in CheckPoint environments. Work on network re-architecture projects, transforming and modernizing firewall and routing infrastructures. Perform advanced troubleshooting across multi-vendor firewalls and VPN setups. Collaborate closely with telecom operators worldwide to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Monitor network performance and make recommendations based on performance analysis Tech you will work with: Firewalls: CheckPoint (Harmony CheckPoint, GAiA), Fortinet VPNs: IPSEC, SSL Routing: PBR Operating Systems: Linux (big plus) Cloud-Native: Kubernetes (configuration, implementation, automation) Cloud: OpenStack, Azure, AWS, GCP — understanding of cloud networking, VPCs/VNets, security groups, routing, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
