We're currently looking for aGenetic Laboratory Specialistto join our growing team in Lisbon. Responsibilities: Ensure the day-to-day operation of the genetic laboratory. Perform laboratory procedures related to genetic testing. Support sample reception, DNA extraction, and quality control workflows. Maintain compliance with laboratory quality standards and established protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and evolving environment. Requirements: Candidates must meet one of the following academic/professional pathways in accordance with applicable regulations: Medical Specialist in Medical Genetics; Professionals holding the academic and professional qualifications legally established for senior health technicians in the field of genetics, including a specialist degree or equivalence recognized by the Ministry of Health; Specialist title in Human Genetics (issued by the Ordem dos Biólogos or Ordem dos Farmacêuticos), or meeting the requirements to obtain such a title. Additional requirements: Minimum of 3 years of proven professional experience in a medical genetics laboratory. Experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., DNA extraction, PCR). Experience with NGS is an advantage. Fluency in Portuguese. English or Spanish is a plus.
