Your responsibilities inc** lu**de: · Database Migr**ation: Perform database migrations to newer versions of SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and minimizing dow ntime.· Problem Analysis: Diagnose and resolve issues related to database performance, availability, and inte grity.· Performance Optimization (Tuning): Lead advanced performance tuning initiatives, including SQL query analysis, index optimization, and in-depth workload analysis. Apply advanced partitioning strategies, compression, and filegroup management to optimize large-scale databases and improve scalab ility.· Cloud Database Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize SQL Server workloads on AWS (EC2, RDS) and Azure (SQL Database, Managed Instance, Virtual Machines), applying best practices for cost optimization, performance tuning, and automation in cloud environ ments.· Strong Knowledge of Transact-SQL (T-SQL): Review and optimize queries, stored procedures, and functions using T-SQL to meet internal require ments.· Always On Cluster Configuration and Management: Configure and manage high availability and critical environments using SQL Server's Always On feature, ensuring redundancy and disaster rec overy.· Proactive Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor the SQL Server environment, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact client sy stems.· Documentation: Document processes, configurations, and changes made in the database environment, ensuring easy identification and interpretation by other team me mbers.· Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure database needs are addressed efficiently and sec **urely. You must** have: · Solid experience in administering SQL Server databases, including recent versions and new f eatures.· Demonstrated experience in migrating databases to newer versions of SQL Server, with a focus on planning, execution, and val idation.· Experience in performance tuning, including query analysis and optimization, index management, and infrastructure impro vements.· Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in writing and optimizing complex queries using Trans act-SQL.· Skilled in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting high availability environments using Al ways On.· Analytical ability to diagnose complex database issues and propose effective so lutions.· Ability to identify and anticipate problems and improvement opportunities, taking initiative to resolve them indepe ndently.· Experience with database monitoring and management tools such as Tuning Advisor, Query Store, Profiler, and third-party so lutions.· SQL Server Certifications (Mandatory): DP-300 and DP-900. We value: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with different teams and clearly and accurately document- processes.Experience with database monitoring and management tools such as Tuning Advisor, Query Store, Profiler, and third-party- solutions.Knowledge of ServiceNow for incident and change management, Zabbix and Grafana for infrastructure monitoring, and Microsoft Azure for cloud environment integration and m- anagement.Experience in designing database architecture, transaction control, capacity planning, and process automation are significant differ- entiators.Ability to apply Microsoft-recommended best practices to ensure a secure, efficient, and compliant SQL Server environment aligned with IT g u idelines.
