It is *the* AI tool to extract insights from feedback, wherever it may come from - helping customers to get from texts to real insights, with ease and in no time. Caplena's vision is to become the single place of truth for feedback, where customer-centric companies go to understand the needs, wishes and pain points of their customers. We're looking for curious minds who are eager to write world-class software. You will become an integral part of our hands-on & fun team (25 people) and have a big impact on the future development of our software. We are fast-growing with close to 200+ active customers in more than 16+ countries across a multitude of industries including some big names like Lufthansa, Kia and DHL. Responsibilities As part of the backend team, you will work in close collaboration with the team lead, the founders and our talented (entirely in-house) developer team to:Develop new features (e.g. integrations with other apps, new internal & public API endpoints) Enable our application to discover interesting trends and statistics in our data Infuse AI into every part of our app (it's already in a lot of places ofc) Improve our agent and chatbot Improve performance of endpoints (we're dealing with 1M row queries ) Fix bugs . Which of course never happens Requirements Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, related field or equivalent practical experience At least 2 years of professional experience in building backend systems with Python and solid knowledge of SQL Databases First experience building applications that leverage GenAI Solid foundations in Data Science and statistics Strong analytical skills and knowledge of datastructure and algorithms You are familiar with web APIs (mostly REST) Performance issues are challenges you indulge in, not something you dread Track record of getting features shipped for customer-facing applications Solid written communication in English; German not required but a plus Located in an EU country or Switzerland Fast learner, with a resourceful and independent mindset Upbeat team player Bonus:You have knowledge of Django and / or Django Ninja Some experience with Kubernetes Cloud Devops exposure (we're on GCP) Experience with Clickhouse is a plus Benefits Exciting, growing product Modern & scalable tech-stack (GCP; Gemini; Kubernetes; Django; Postgres; Clickhouse; OpenAI; Redis; Vue; Vuex; eCharts) Solid tooling (CI/CD; issue monitoring; session replay etc.) Quick & inclusive decision-making; (AI engine, API, Frontend, DevOps) Driven & down-to-earth team Office near Zurich HB (easy to access by public transport, and we have great coffee) Team events Choice of OS: macOS or Linux Full-time; flexible working hours; remote or office depending on location 25 days PTO/year Competitive compensation & equity If you're looking for a place to apply and refine your programming skills on a cutting-edge product, then join us .
