Senior Application Support Engineer – Banking (Lisbon)
Who We're Looking For We are looking for a
Senior Application Support Engineer
to join an application support team, providing production support for critical applications and data platforms in a dynamic financial services environment. The role involves managing incidents and service requests, troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring application performance and ensuring service availability in a 24/7 environment.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in
Application Support, Linux, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes , with knowledge of cloud environments, infrastructure automation and banking operations.
Professional Experience & Main Tasks
Provide application production support for banking applications and IT data platforms, ensuring service stability and availability.
Manage incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with service-level objectives (SLOs).
Analyse system, middleware and application logs to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Perform service monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement activities to enhance service quality and availability.
Participate in a 24/7 production support team, including shifts, on-call rotations, weekends and public holidays.
Participate in and support Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and live production readiness activities.
Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployments.
Support and maintain containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Contribute to infrastructure automation and continuous integration processes using tools such as Jenkins.
Review and create application support knowledge articles, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
