Junior Back-End Developer Watt-IS is accelerating the energy transition through AI-powered solutions that empower utilities, energy retailers, and energy communities to optimize energy usage and reduce carbon emissions. We're looking for a talented Junior Back-End Developer to support our existing micro-services architecture, develop new services and integrate them with our platforms. Responsibilities: Develop new functionalities for existing and new projects Maintain existing and new projects Develop technical specifications based on functional requirements Technical skills: Experience in database design and data modeling (ER Diagrams) Experience in querying and storing data in SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases Experience in developing, documenting and testing JSON-based REST Web APIs (FastAPI, Pydantic, ) Experience using HTTP clients to interact with JSON-based REST Web APIs Experience with Git and Linux environments Familiarity with Ruby and Ruby on Rails (or similar frameworks like Laravel, Spring MVC) Understanding of Micro-services architecture Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Fluent in English Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Willingness to learn and adapt to new concepts, technologies and to collaborate with other team members Nice to have: Experience developing static web pages with HTML, CSS and JavaScript Experience developing web apps with React and Tailwind CSS (or similar frameworks) Experience with data science, machine-learning and AI with Python, R or Matlab Familiarity with DevOps practices - Docker and Cloud-based services (Azure, AWS) Send us your CV and motivation letter to - with the subject "Junior Back-End Developer 25.12".
