We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Faro. As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for assisting the head chef in managing the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. You must have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment and must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills. Responsibilities
Assist the head chef in creating and implementing menus that meet quality standards Oversee and manage kitchen staff including training scheduling and monitoring performance Ensure all food preparation and cooking is carried out according to recipes and standards Monitor portion control food waste and inventory levels Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times Handle any customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques equipment and ingredients Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Excellent communication skills with fluency in English Portuguese language skills are preferred Availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays Education
A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred but not required Professional certifications are also an asset Salary
