The Role: Avaloq Technical Architect Location: Lisbon Work Model: 4 days in the office Sector: Financial Services Languages: English (B2–C1) Eligibility: Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there Your Profile University degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification Minimum 5 years of Avaloq development experience Expertise in PL/SQL and database access tools Experience with code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback Familiarity with unit and integration testing, manual and/or automated Experience using IDEs such as Eclipse Knowledge of Git or other version control systems Exposure to Gherkin / Cucumber is a plus Ability to work independently and take substantial personal responsibility Technical Environment (What you will be working with) Avaloq Banking Suite and modules PL/SQL and relational database technologies Eclipse Git Cucumber /Gherkin Agile development environment (Scrum) What You Will Be Doing (Concrete responsibilities) Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and analyze requirements Translate business needs into clear functional and technical solutions, in collaboration with developers and system architects Write structured functional specifications that guide implementation Define and document test cases to validate proposed solutions Build & Delivery Phase: Implement solutions on the Avaloq platform, using Avaloq Script (PL/SQL-based language) Develop automated tests where applicable (e.G. Gherkin / Cucumber) Execute unit tests and functional acceptance tests (FAT), using both manual and automated approaches Support troubleshooting and solution stabilization Why Join Us?
