Find out more about us at Role Overview: We are looking for a Cobol Developer to join one of our biggest clients in the Oporto area (Hybrid). A multinational financial services firm, one of the largest financial groups and among the 30 largest financial institution’s globally. What you will do: Plan and execute testing (including no regression testing) to ensure the program meets the specifications; Develop workload estimates, and project schedules to complete projects on schedule and as requested; Modify existingapplications for software updates, or user requests by analyzing systems to determine the appropriate changes; Prepare programand system documentation for users and Production Support for proper execution of production or test jobs; Makes recommendations on improvements to increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility; Handles releaseprocedures in the different environments; Communicates project status and issues; What you are like: Academic training in Computer Engineering or similar; Proficiency in COBOL programming language (+3 y experience) Good knowledge of JCL; Experience withmainframe environment - COBOL, MVS, SQL/DB2, JCL, TSO, ISPF, IMS, CICS; Good knowledge of Agile methodologies Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
