About AQUA Partners AQUA Partners is a Portuguese, CMVM-authorised investment manager focused on private equity investments in real assets and natural capital. The firm combines institutional capital with the operating platform of Bolschare Group and Bolschare Agriculture, a leading permanent-crops asset manager in Iberia, currently managing 12,000+ hectares with approximately €500m AUM. AQUA Partners structures and manages investment funds and vehicles across agriculture, energy, and natural capital, applying a disciplined investment approach targeting attractive risk-adjusted returns alongside measurable environmental and social outcomes. The Role We are hiring a Senior Investment Analyst (3–5 years’ experience) to support AQUA Partners’ investment activity, including financial modelling and valuation, investment analysis, due diligence support, and portfolio monitoring, with regular exposure to senior decision-makers. Key Responsibilities Play a key role in analysing and assessing a broad spectrum of opportunities to identify compelling investment opportunities. Build and maintain in-depth financial models to assess valuations of private companies and assets. Prepare high-quality due diligence materials and investment committee memos to support decision-making. Conduct detailed due diligence and analysis on private equity and portfolio company opportunities, including industry, company, and manager research. Interact regularly with senior stakeholders, including AQUA Partners’ leadership, the operating platform, external advisers, and potential LPs. Monitor and assist in managing the investment portfolio, supporting performance follow-up and value-creation initiatives. Support portfolio monitoring and value-creation tracking, including KPI dashboards, budget vs. actual analysis, and performance reporting. Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to gather and structure information required for investment decisions and investor communications, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Qualifications Needed 3–5 years of relevant experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Corporate Finance. Exceptional academic credentials: a degree in Finance is required (BSc + MSc in Finance mandatory). Strong analytical and quantitative skills with substantial expertise in financial modelling and valuation. Results-oriented and proactive, with a creative approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively. Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. Fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory). Spanish and other European languages are a plus. CFA and/or MBA is a plus. Prior exposure to real assets and natural capital, including agriculture, forestry, and agri-industry, is a plus. Location & Compensation Lisbon office | Hybrid (with occasional travel within Portugal and Europe). Base salary €35,000–€45,000 gross/year (depending on experience) + annual bonus.
