As Materials Planner, you are responsible for the planning, scheduling and monitoring of inventory levels, ensuring materials are available to execute the production plan, optimizing inventory levels and transport costs.

This role is based in Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal.

Accountabilities
  • Manage flow of materials and stock levels:
  • Analyze demand for all locations
  • Create receipts in AS 400 for incoming
  • Work together with Logistics to organize inbound freights
  • Manage stock levels in accordance with company strategy, ensuring optimal inventory
  • Follow up orders released, ensuring delivery times meet production needs
  • Manage all “non-stock” purchase orders, such as investments, maintenance parts, and other services
  • Manage inventory and orders of office supplies
  • Manage the relationship with suppliers and other external entities:
  • Work along with Sourcing evaluating supplier performance
  • Facilitate relations between suppliers and Brunswick
  • Act as the owner of the process of proof of delivery for EU suppliers, gathering documentation from each delivery and sending it back to each supplier respecting all legal deadlines
  • Participate in the development of new products:
  • Participate actively in implementing engineering changes, new model year changes, and implementation of new products
  • Manage non-conformities:
  • Inform and coordinate with the Quality department regarding non-compliances of suppliers
  • Support Quality with claims to suppliers, ensuring that company procedures and policies are followed

Skills & Knowledge
  • Degree in Logistics or Industrial Engineering will be an asset
  • Up to 3 years of experience in similar positions or in an industrial environment will be an asset
  • Proficiency in all MS Office tools, with demonstrated good Excel skills
  • AS400/MRP proficiency will be highly valuable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both Portuguese and English
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and flexible profile
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving focus
