Our client is a leading specialist in data centre delivery across Europe, renowned for providing comprehensive turnkey solutions spanning from initial design through to construction and commissioning. With a central headquarters in Dublin and a reputation built on trust, they successfully execute major engineering projects throughout the continent. They are currently looking for an experienced Project Lead to join their dedicated team on-site in Sines, Portugal.
Role OverviewAs the Project Lead, you will take charge of the overall management and successful execution of the project. Your core objective will be ensuring that all works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest possible quality standards. This position demands exceptional leadership, sharp commercial awareness, robust technical expertise, and seamless stakeholder coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage the overall project cost, schedule, and budget from inception through to completion.
Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to guarantee the seamless execution of all project activities.
Analyse, track, and manage critical milestone activities to prevent schedule delays and drive timely delivery.
Review and evaluate construction proposals, pricing structures, and scopes of work.
Lead and facilitate client meetings alongside other essential project coordination gatherings.
Monitor and report on variables influencing construction costs, generating data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
Apply comprehensive knowledge of construction procurement methods while managing long-lead equipment delivery schedules.
Review, validate, and audit cost estimates prepared by subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Support engineering and design decisions regarding cost and budget impacts during design-build changes.
Track and verify equipment availability to ensure complete alignment with the project schedule.
Coordinate scheduling consultant reviews and ensure integration with broader project controls.
