Offer DescriptionWorkplan and objectives:
- Application of physical assessment instruments for functional assessment;
- Implementation of a structured Physiotherapy intervention plan over a 12-month period;
- Systematic review of the literature in the field of Physiotherapy intervention in older adults;
- Support for the logistical organisation of the project involving the team and participants, and preliminary data analysis.
Duration of the fellowship contract: The non-renewable scholarship will have a maximum duration of 12 months, with the contract expected to start in November 2, 2026.
Documentation to be provided at the time of contracting: In addition to those mentioned in the previous point, it is necessary to present proof of enrollment in a master's degree.
Applicable Legislation: Law 40/2004, of 18th August, in the current wording (Statute of the Scientific Research Scholarship, and Regulation of Research Grants of the Foundation for Science and Technology, regulation 950/2019. Subsidiarily and in everything that is not in opposition to the legislation mentioned above, the Code of Administrative Procedure (CPA), approved by Decree-Law No. 4/2015, of 7 January, also applies.
Workplace : The work will be developed at Universidade Fernando Pessoa, Porto and/or the project's partner institutions, under the scientific supervision of Clarinda Festas .

General Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or a higher degree, with a final grade of 16/20 or higher ;
b. Proficiency in the Portuguese;
c. Immediate availability to start the position.
Specific Requirements
Specific Requirements
- At least one year of clinical experience;
- Clinical experience with older adults, including functional assessment and intervention;
- Research experience involving older adults;
- Knowledge of data analysis (SPSS, Excel);
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Interpersonal and digital communication skills;
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Additional InformationAmount of monthly maintenance allowance: The amount of the grant corresponds to €1.090,98 according to the table of grant values within the scope of a R & D project by FCT, I.P. in the country ( - 2026.pdf).
