I am supporting a global organization in hiring a Senior SAP Basis Specialist to join a mature, international SAP environment with long-term transformation initiatives. Why this role stands out Work on a large-scale S/4HANA landscape (on-premise and private cloud) Hands-on ownership across Basis operations, projects, and go-lives Exposure to modern SAP technologies (Fiori, APIs, SAP Gateway) alongside classic Basis topics Agile, distributed teams supporting business-critical systems across time zones Tasks Ensure stability, performance, and security across multiple productive SAP systems Support projects with technical design, authorizations, interfaces, and system configuration Analyze and resolve performance issues across SAP and connected components Collaborate with infrastructure and external partners on technical changes Support cutovers, go-lives, and 3rd-level production issues Contribute to documentation, system optimization, and continuous improvement Requirements 5+ years' experience in SAP Basis within complex landscapes Strong exposure to S/4HANA and database platforms (HANA and/or Oracle) Solid understanding of SAP security, interfaces, and system performance Comfortable working in international, agile environments Business-fluent English (German is a plus) Benefits Permanent role with long-term SAP roadmap Hybrid working model (3 days onsite in Lisbon) Competitive benefits package and structured onboarding Stable environment with room to grow technically
