The Procurement Specialist reports to the Controlling department and aligns with Headquarter functions in Germany for any strategic topics. The goal for this position is to manage the company’s purchases with the aim to optimize value via cost reduction and to ensure a transparent competition process in accordance with the compliance principles of the Volkswagen Group.Objectives:As part of our Procurement team, this role as (Senior) Procurement (m/f/d) puts you right at the heart of our procurement strategy - especially in IT Software and Consultancy services. In this position, you’ll manage end-to-end procurement activities—from launching tenders and driving negotiations to collaborating with international stakeholders and implementing innovative solutions. This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thrives in dynamic environments, and is eager to deliver measurable impact across a global organization.In this role you will be responsible for:Identify providers of goods and services for trade and non-trade providersImplement and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency, 4-eye principle and monitor compliance with the key rules of procurement and according to VW Group internal policiesCreate necessary reports to support the revenue and expenditure analysisDefine and implement Procurement strategies based on conducted demand, market and supplier analysis to ensure long-term, cost-efficient and reliable on-time supply of materials in the required qualityNegotiate terms and conditions with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations etcGenerate, document and implement savingsGenerate purchase orders using the SAP system.Develop a providers’ database with the goal of establishing new contacts and to improve competition (supplier management)Liaison with business areas, Headquarters and other group functionsPromote/ communicate internal procedures within the organization and internal teams.Support function in case of any questions or concerns regarding the procurement processCoordinate controlling and budget activities with the Controller TeamEnsure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:University degree in business administration or comparable degree5 to 10 years professional experience in a similar positionExperience working in an international environment and managing cross-border projectsAdvanced knowledge and proven experience in Procurement activities, preferably for IT Software and Consultancy topicsDesirable experience in due diligence of providers when necessaryProven experience in international transformation projects, preferably technology drivenDistinct affinity for process design, documents and reportsDomain in MS Office tools (mandatory); and SAP (preferable)Strong communication and negotiation skillsHigh level of self-responsibility, self-initiative and the ability to interact efficientlyResults-oriented and with team-player attitudeStrong analytical and structural competence and ability to organize him-/herself independentlyCustomer orientationFluent English (written and spoken)Availability for travellingWhat we Offer:Long-term contract.Competitive package including private health insurance, life insurance and meal allowance (pay by meal card).Bonuses and benefits depending on performanceSchooling allowance and pension schemeIncredible and unique annual company eventsOpportunity to work on an international project and be part of multicultural and multidisciplinary teamSolid performance evaluation and career management methodologiesContinuous training – technical and behavioural development
