We operate as a cross-functional internal product team, solving complex challenges related to high-load systems and data infrastructure. Our work includes building robust data pipelines, managing storage and data rotation, and creating dashboards, alerts, data marts, and analytical reports for internal stakeholders and products across the company. Position Summary We are looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to take a leading role in shaping the backend architecture and technical direction of our fintech platform. In this role, you will work on high-load, distributed systems, drive architectural decisions, influence engineering standards, and collaborate closely with multiple teams. This position requires a strong individual contributor who also acts as a technical leader, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term sustainability of our backend systems. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and evolution of backend architecture and high-load microservices Own and improve core backend and data infrastructure components Design scalable data pipelines, storage systems, and data flows Define best practices for system design, reliability, performance, and observability Work with queues, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and data streams Participate in technical roadmap planning and long-term architectural decisions Review code and provide technical mentorship to senior and mid-level engineers Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation Collaborate with product, DevOps, and data teams to deliver scalable solutions Support and improve production systems in high-availability environments Technology Stack Languages: Go (Golang), TypeScript (optional) Storage: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, ClickHouse Transport: gRPC, HTTP, RabbitMQ, Kafka Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Flux DevOps: Terraform, Helm (optional) Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki Requirements 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including production use of Go Deep understanding of microservices and distributed systems architecture Proven experience designing and scaling high-load, fault-tolerant systems Strong background in data pipelines, DWH, or data-intensive platforms Hands-on experience with message brokers, queues, and event-driven systems Excellent knowledge of concurrency, parallelism, and goroutines Ability to make, document, and defend architectural decisions and trade-offs Experience reviewing code and mentoring other engineers Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, and data modeling Proficiency with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes English proficiency — B2+ level Nice to Have Experience with blockchain or crypto infrastructure Background in clustering, replication, and distributed system design Knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript Experience in fintech, neobanks, or highly regulated environments
