As world-scale hydrogen, data centre, pharmaceutical, and advanced manufacturing projects move from design into execution, ENG Bauen continues to define the standard for workforce assurance, readiness, and delivery performance. We are now seeking a Commissioning Manager to lead critical start-up and readiness programmes across major greenfield sites, ensuring that complex systems transition from construction to operation safely, efficiently, and with full technical assurance. You will work directly with project management, operations, EPC representatives, and equipment vendors, while coordinating a dedicated CSU team onsite. Portuguese or English fluency is required for effective interaction with site personnel and local stakeholders. Key Responsibilites: Lead the planning and execution of commissioning activities across large-scale industrial or technology-driven facilities. Establish and manage mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning schedules aligned with turnover milestones. Oversee verification and validation processes, ensuring compliance with engineering design, QA/QC, and operational integrity. Coordinate between Construction, Engineering, and Operations to guarantee seamless handovers across all process and utility systems. Implement best-practice start-up and energisation safety protocols; ensure readiness reviews and LOTO procedures are fully controlled. Collaborate with ORSU and performance teams to validate operability, reliability, and performance testing prior to handover. Ensure all completion records, test packs, and system dossiers meet Owner and regulatory requirements. Preferred Background: Proven experience delivering commissioning management on large greenfield industrial facilities, ideally within Pharmaceutical, Hydrogen, Data Centre, or Energy sectors. Strong technical grounding across mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation systems, with hands-on experience leading multidisciplinary commissioning teams. Deep understanding of systemisation, completions management systems (CMS), and handover processes to operations. Demonstrated experience bridging the construction–operations interface, working with EPC and Owner teams to ensure operational excellence. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills within high-compliance, schedule-driven environments. Engineering or technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process disciplines; fluent in English, Portuguese advantageous.
