The Dietitian Assistant will provide support to the registered dietitian in planning and implementing personalized nutrition plans for clients. This full-time position is based in Braga, Portugal and does not require prior experience, making it suitable for both men and women.
Responsibilities
- Assist the registered dietitian in conducting nutrition assessments and developing individualized meal plans for clients
- Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their nutrition plans
- Educate clients on healthy eating habits and provide guidance on portion control and food choices
- Prepare materials for nutrition education sessions and assist in conducting group presentations
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, including weight, body measurements, and food intake
- Order and stock nutritional supplements as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field preferred
- Fluency in Portuguese required; knowledge of English is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Passion for promoting health and wellness through proper nutrition
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
Salary
The salary for this position is 1100$ per month.
