We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with more than 4 years of experience to strengthen IT infrastructure operations in the insurance sector. This is a fully remote opportunity based in Portugal, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and complex infrastructure troubleshooting. You will take ownership of critical technical escalations, resolve infrastructure issues at their root cause and implement improvements that increase service reliability and operational efficiency. The role combines hands-on engineering, technical autonomy and cross-team collaboration, with direct impact on infrastructure stability and service quality.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own complex infrastructure escalations, from initial investigation through resolution and follow-up.
- Analyze recurring incidents, identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft Azure, Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Resolve issues involving identity management, access permissions, databases and cloud services.
- Support infrastructure operations across IaaS, PaaS and on-premises environments.
- Automate administrative and troubleshooting tasks using PowerShell.
- Contribute to problem management, change management and Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge base articles to improve incident resolution.
- Work with infrastructure teams, service desk teams and external providers to resolve operational challenges.
- Support infrastructure deployments, system changes and technical project delivery.
