Freelance Risk Analyst

About the role Signal AI, the AI-powered platform for risk and reputation intelligence, is looking for experienced Freelance Risk Analysts to deliver strategic, data-driven reports for enterprise risk management on a project basis. In this high-impact freelance role, you'll support our CEO and C-suite clients at Fortune 500 companies by analysing risk data, identifying emerging risks and transforming insights into actionable risk intelligence. You'll work with our proprietary Reputation platform, which quantifies the reputation of hundreds of companies, turning complex data into strategic recommendations that drive smarter corporate decisions. Project Focus Areas include risk horizon scanning, risk and reputation analysis reports, competitive intelligence, strategic risk assessments, and communications insights. You'll access our proprietary scoring engine, uncover the "signal in the noise," and create insights reports that senior executives can act upon. Your job is not to build Python scripts; it is to analyze risk indicators, assess potential business impacts and contextualise the "why" behind the data. You'll operate like a hybrid between a risk intelligence analyst and a strategy consultant from McKinsey. About you Experienced in risk analysis and/or strategy risk functions, preferably at risk consultancies, intelligence firms or corporate risk departments. Proven track record delivering client-ready strategic risk assessments, supported by data visualisations using our platform and your data analysis skills. A portfolio demonstrating the transformation of complex data into executive-level insights with clear risk prioritization and actionable recommendations. Experience in enterprise risk management/risk intelligence and strategic recommendations - particularly working with risk consultancies or risk teams. Client-facing experience with Fortune 500 or similar enterprise clients in risk advisory or strategic intelligence contexts. Strong presentation and storytelling skills to editorialise your research and present business insights to C-Suite executives with risk framing. Strong data visualization skills - an aesthetic sense, and the ability to select the right data visualizations to tell the story Familiarity with industry-standard risk intelligence/media monitoring/social listening tools. Motivation to work on the next wave of insights, using AI technology to drive business risk intelligence forward A global outlook and sensitivity to how geopolitical events, regulatory changes, social movements, and emerging threats intersect with corporate reputation and risks.
