Job Title: Project Manager – Residential Construction

Company: Vardis Group – Vardis Construction Division

About Us:

Vardis Group is expanding its operations with the establishment of Vardis Construction in the Algarve, Portugal. Our new division focuses on delivering
- quality residential construction projects, including
- end villas. We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our residential construction projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget, scope, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management of Residential Sites :
  • Manage daily operations of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and all stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring expenses do not exceed the budgeted amount.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to address design issues and provide solutions.
  • Ensure all building codes, ordinances, and regulations are followed throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate with clients to address concerns or issues during the project development phase.
  • Design and Material Recommendations :
  • Gather client input and make expert recommendations on design elements and materials.
  • Contractor and Team Management :
  • Manage the hiring and supervision of contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Scheduling and Budgeting :
  • Create and oversee schedules, ensuring timely procurement of materials and efficient allocation of labour costs.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the construction industry, with significant roles in project engineering, construction management, or project management.
  • Proven experience handling design, budget, and scheduling challenges on residential developments, particularly
    - end villas.
  • Fluent in both English and Portuguese (mandatory).
  • Authorization to work in Portugal (mandatory).
  • An engineering qualification within Portugal is beneficial but not mandatory.
