About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team at TUI. As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for creating business capability models and transformation roadmaps to facilitate discussion and decision-making with senior stakeholders.

You will work closely with senior technology leaders to shape a vision and define architectural strategies that translate business opportunities and customer expectations into innovative IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a global architecture strategy and ensure architectural integrity across the organization.
  • Drive consolidation towards a coherent, platform strategy and a single technology ecosystem.
  • Define policies, standards, and practices that shape the technology strategy and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Think long-term and use industry knowledge and understanding of TUI's business strategy to shape the One platform architecture.
  • Balance technical debt and speed to market to deliver business outcomes sustainably and with the right level of quality.
  • Have a strong background and experience in modern cloud native architecture, especially Amazon Web Services.
  • Work in an international context with senior technology and business stakeholders and manage large-scale technology transformation and implementations with aggressive timelines.
  • Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices across the domain.
  • Be an active member of the global architecture communities.
  • Love to learn and acquire new skills and enjoy teaching others.
  • Not be afraid to get stuck in and work directly with teams – hate being in an ivory tower.

About You

We are looking for an experienced architect and authentic servant leader with a passion for technology and Enterprise architecture.

Key Requirements:

  • Have a strong background and experience in modern cloud native architecture, especially Amazon Web Services.
  • Be able to engage with C-suite executives, business leaders, and IT teams to translate intricate business requirements into robust architectural solutions.
  • Be highly competent and knowledgeable in engineering with the backing of the engineering community.
  • Be highly esteemed and regarded in the industry, having proven positions and public speaking engagements with known vendors and industry partners.
  • Hold a number (at least 10+) industry accreditations and certifications exemplifying your experience in Architecture, Development, Cloud, Security, Data, AI, and Integration.
  • Have broad experience and expertise across multiple technical areas in several IT domains.
  • Be able to establish and enforce rigorous architectural standards, guidelines, and principles.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Be passionate about agile software delivery practices, delivering business value, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the evolution of global technology strategies and implementation of solutions for the whole group, identifying risks and providing necessary guidance.
  • Lead architecture communities and mentor a high-performing team of architects and senior technical staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous innovation, technical excellence, and professional development.
  • Be a systems thinker with a strong understanding of business needs and ability to manage a range of priorities and delegate effectively.
  • Be a problem solver with a pragmatic evangelist approach to drive the spirit required in a fast-paced digital space.
  • Be a great communicator and facilitator comfortable working across organizational and market boundaries and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Be able to disagree yet align.
  • Have mastery of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Have extensive experience with cloud computing, microservices architecture, data management, cybersecurity, and integration technologies.
  • Have experienced with cloud technology especially Amazon Web Services with Associate or Professional level Architecture certification.
