Salary
The salary for this position ranges from €52,561.60 to €68,090.96 gross salary per year, plus health coverage and other benefits.
Job Description
As a tenure-track researcher at IST, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge scientific projects, teach courses at undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels, and inspire students through teaching and supervision. You will also participate in activities related to university representation, scientific divulgation, and knowledge transfer to society.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A PhD degree in Engineering or a related area with interest in the scientific field of this competition;
- A strong publication record;
- A record of awarded grants;
- The ability to provide inspiring teaching in English and/or Portuguese;
- The ability to deal with scientific/engineering challenges in contact with industrial partners;
- The ability to set up and lead scientific research projects, to increase international contacts, and improve the experience in acquisition of external funding;
- High motivation to implement your own vision and setting up your own externally funded research programme;
- Team leader and communication skills, open-mindedness;
