Our client operates globally in the energy sector, requiring a Head of Reporting Finance to join their Consolidation & Reporting global team based in Lisbon.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Consolidation Director and CFO of one of the companies within the Group, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient execution.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing accurate consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and aligned with the group's operations.
- Managing financial reporting timelines to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Enhancing reporting processes by collaborating with the Consolidation Director and integrating renewable-specific metrics.
- Mentoring finance managers across several countries to ensure alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- Fostering a collaborative environment among finance teams and promoting continuous improvement.
- Evaluating performance and providing development opportunities for regional finance teams.
- Ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the finance function, focusing on renewable energy project dynamics.
- Implementing robust internal controls to maintain compliance with international financial standards.
- Optimizing finance operations by identifying process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements.
- Managing external accounting service providers to ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in finance, including roles in financial reporting and control within a multinational context.
- Background in the renewable energy sector or related finance.
- Proven track record of managing country finance teams and working with external accounting providers.
- Expertise in international accounting standards.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple providers and tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
