Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Merger Acquisition Analyst to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions, supporting our M&A team in various stages of the deal process from initial research to final integration. The successful candidate will gain valuable industry insights and develop their analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in building and maintaining financial models to evaluate potential M&A opportunities and support the analysis of financial statements and valuation of target companies.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential acquisition targets, preparing research reports and presentations.
  • Due Diligence: Participate in the due diligence process by collecting and analyzing data on target companies and assist in evaluating business operations and financial performance.
  • Deal Support: Help prepare investment memos, coordinate with legal and financial advisors, and support negotiations. Assist in the preparation of transaction documents.
  • Integration Assistance: Work with cross-functional teams to support the integration of acquired companies, monitor post-acquisition performance, and provide ongoing support.
  • Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations to the M&A team and other stakeholders, communicating findings and recommendations effectively.

Salary: $65,000 per year

Requirements:

  • Master's program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of financial modelling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in German is a plus
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
