Job Summary

Tekever Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Edge AI Engineer to join our team. As an Edge AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI models that run on edge devices. Your expertise in machine learning and AI will enable you to optimize models for performance and efficiency, ensuring they can operate in real-time on devices with limited resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop machine learning models specifically tailored for edge devices, considering constraints such as limited computation power, memory, and energy consumption.
  • Optimize AI models for performance and efficiency to ensure they run effectively on edge devices. Techniques may include quantization, pruning, and other model compression methods.
  • Deploy AI models on various edge devices, such as IoT devices, SoCs, embedded systems, and other low-power hardware platforms.
  • Implement and optimize data preprocessing pipelines to ensure efficient data handling and processing on edge devices.
  • Work closely with software engineers to integrate AI models into edge applications, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models in real-world scenarios, making adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, hardware engineers, and product managers, to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet business and technical needs.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in edge AI and machine learning technologies and apply new techniques to enhance existing models and solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, algorithms, optimization processes, and deployment workflows for future reference and reproducibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, or a related field, with specific experience in deploying and optimizing models for edge computing environments.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, as well as C/C++, Java, Rust, or similar languages.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile, or ONNX.
  • Knowledge of model optimization techniques, including quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation.
  • Familiarity with edge computing platforms and hardware accelerators (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Google Coral, ARM Cortex), with focus on NVIDIA Jetson Orin.
  • Experience with data preprocessing and pipeline optimization for edge deployment.
  • Familiarity with robotics software frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System).
  • Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and tooling, including DevOps, version control (e.g., Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), telemetry, and monitoring.
  • Experience with relevant tooling such as ClearML for ML lifecycle management.
  • Experience in getting machine learning products to production.
