We are seeking an experienced Senior Release Manager to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software release management, configuration management, or a related field within a software development environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing release cycles in complex, cross-functional projects, ideally within an Agile or DevOps framework. Your experience with release automation tools (Azure DevOps) and change management systems will be essential in ensuring smooth execution of each release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage release planning meetings, capturing requirements, risks, and dependencies for each release cycle.
  • Define, document, and continuously improve the release management process, focusing on efficiency, consistency, and minimizing release-related issues.
  • Oversee release readiness checks, confirming that all necessary steps have been completed before deployment.
  • Identify and assess risks related to release schedules, quality, and resources, working proactively to mitigate these risks.

As a Senior Release Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of releases while collaborating with development, QA, product management, and operations teams. Your ability to coordinate across functions and lead by example will be vital in driving efficient release processes.
