About the Job


We are seeking an experienced Data Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data-centric applications and systems. As a key member of our team, you will guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, collaborate closely with stakeholders to define data strategies and roadmaps, and support the team by implementing complex functions.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data-centric applications and systems.
  • Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers in data engineering roles.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define data strategies and roadmaps.
  • Implement complex functions to optimize data infrastructure and methodologies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in data governance, metadata management, and ensuring adherence to data compliance regulations.
  • Present technical solutions to diverse stakeholders across departments.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • 8 or more years of experience in progressively responsible data engineering roles, showcasing leadership and mentorship qualities.
  • Extensive proficiency in data warehouse design, implementation, and optimization, demonstrating expertise in complex problem-solving and architectural decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages used for data engineering, including Python and SQL.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with GCP and knowledge of operating systems, preferably Linux.
  • Deep understanding and proven expertise in data modeling, including experience in designing and implementing complex distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and established thought leadership in data governance, metadata management, and establishing best practices for ensuring data quality and compliance.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a strategic mindset with a track record of influencing decision-making processes and driving organizational data strategies.
  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or another engineering domain.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
