We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer – Mobile who is passionate about ensuring app quality, security, and performance. You will be working with manual and automated testing methodologies for mobile applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our talented team at Ivy Tech and contribute to the development of innovative payment solutions. As a QA Engineer – Mobile, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of mobile payment solutions, identifying defects, validating software functionality, and upholding defined quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure consistent testing coverage for mobile applications.
  2. Create exhaustive test cases, including edge cases, stress conditions, and device-specific scenarios.
  3. Evaluate mobile usability, UX/UI responsiveness, and user experience issues from an end-user perspective.
  4. Produce detailed defect documentation, including steps to reproduce, logs, and screenshots, to facilitate efficient debugging.
  5. Engage in close collaboration with development teams to ensure swift issue resolution.
  6. Utilise specialised tools to test mobile applications for security vulnerabilities, network behaviour, and data integrity.
  7. Stay current with mobile testing trends and incorporate new knowledge into testing strategies.
  8. Analyse user feedback, crash reports, and analytics to continually enhance mobile software quality.
  9. Share knowledge and expertise with team members on mobile testing best practices, including coding standards, automation frameworks, and performance testing techniques.
  10. Be prepared to respond promptly to critical issues, production incidents, and mobile app-related system failures.
  11. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently and proactively.
Requirements:
  • Dedicated QA Engineer – Mobile with passion for ensuring app quality, security, and performance.
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with manual and automated testing methodologies for mobile applications.
  • Experienced in using specialised tools for testing mobile applications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of testing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of mobile API testing approaches and experience working in Agile/Scrum development processes.
